Set Up a Bonfire Date.

If you have a garden or a backyard at home, you can go out and make a little bonfire. You can also bring marshmallows to roast and sing while strumming a guitar like the typical bonfire sing along. Or you can just talk all night and gaze at the stars. It is such a romantic set up and perfect for those summer nights. There’s no need to spend any money plus you’ll have lots of time to talk and get to know each other even more.

Go on a date in the park

Look for a nice park around your area where you can go for a walk, or even have a picnic. You can also find a park where you can rent a boat or a canoe. Some parks also offer movies where you can watch from a big screen while sitting in the grass. These type of activities never cost a lot and are also very romantic.

Go window shopping

I know, this doesn’t sound so romantic at all, but believe me, it’s so much fun. My boyfriend and I often go to malls, boutique shops or even supermarkets. We don’t buy anything, we just look around and check out everything that catches our eye. I specially love window shopping at furniture shops and supermarkets. It feels like we’re already looking for furnitures and supplies that we’ll be buying once we move together and have our own home. Isn’t it sweet? Oh and FREE!

Go camping/hiking/biking together

Personally for me, being so close to nature is incredibly romantic. If you agree with that, go ahead and look for a nice place around your area where you can go camping or hiking. This is pretty exciting and a good form of exercise as well. You can take pictures of your surroundings if you are into photography. Or you can just camp somewhere, build a tent and cuddle. If you are into biking, you can look for a bike for rent (if you don’t have a bike yet) and go biking around the neighborhood.

Play sports/outdoor games together

Does your guy love basketball? Or are you fond of volleyball? Badminton? Tennis? Whatever it is, go ahead and check out your local sports activity area or just go to your backyard outside the house and play. Just the two of you. You can compete with each other and whoever losses will have a consequence. You’d be surprised how intimate you can get by playing these games together.

Go on a date at the beach

The beach is a perfect place to go if you want a very romantic date with your man. Look for beaches around your area where you can go for free and set up a picnic there. You can bring snacks or even wine if you want. You can also walk in the sands and wait for the sunrise or the sunset, because that is definitely the best part of being at the beach.

Have a karaoke date

If you’re a good singer, or even if you’re not, (like me! LOL) you and your guy can go to a karaoke hub and sing your hearts out. I grew up in a culture where singing in the Karaoke is one of the best ways to have fun. That’s why, in my area, there are Karaoke hubs everywhere. You may find Karaoke hubs in malls, or gaming centers depending in the area you live in. Karaoke DVDs are also available in DVD stores. You can buy one or two, play it in your DVD player at home and sing to it. There are also Karaoke applications available in Google play store and App store that you can download for free. If all else fails, you can search for Karaoke videos in Youtube, stream it in your phone and sing all you want. You can even record each other and listen to it afterwards.

Plan a cozy date at home

This may be the simplest kind of date but this is my favorite. You can just stay at home, and cook for each other. You can even compete with each other by cooking the same dish to see who cooks better. Or you can look for a new recipe and try to cook it together, especially if you don’t know how to cook. If you are not into cooking, you can always do something else, like watching a movie and cuddling, or looking at your photos and memorabillas and reminscing the old days. You can also play a game of truth or dare. Or you can just talk all night while cuddling. Personally, I love to talk about our plans for the future. Like things we want to buy, and places we want to go to. But of course, that always depends on what the two of you are interested in.
